No Child Trains Hungry
Nutritional Program
No child should have to train on an empty stomach. At ECBF, we made a commitment: if a young person walks into our gym, they leave having been fed — every single time. Our Nutritional Program was built around one non-negotiable truth: food security is not a separate issue from youth development. It is the foundation of it.
Fueling Our Youth: The ECBF Nutritional Program
How It Works: Immediate Support
ECBF’s Daily Nutrition Program ensures that every youth participant receives a nutritious meal or snack at every training session — at no cost. Hungry kids cannot train, they cannot learn, and they cannot grow into who they are meant to be. To solve this efficiently, our program operates as a “non-kitchen model”. This means we do not cook on-site, allowing us to deploy food support immediately by distributing pre-packaged, ready-to-eat foods. We strictly follow food safety standards to ensure every distributed item is safe, fresh, and ready for our youth.
What We Distribute
- Fresh fruit and protein-rich snacks for energy and recovery
- Healthy bread and grains for sustained nutritional support
- Hydrating beverages and water to keep athletes safe
Food Security as a Foundation
Food security is not a separate issue from youth development; it is the absolute foundation of it. No child in our program goes home the same way they came in — hungry. We made participation as simple as possible: how families can ensure their child participates is by simply signing up for the boxing classes. There are no hidden fees. If a young person is enrolled in our training, they are automatically supported by the nutrition program.
Who the Program Serves
- All active youth participants enrolled in the ECBF boxing program
- At-risk youth seeking a safe, structured after-school environment
- Families in Los Angeles needing supplemental nutritional support
Our Work in Action
These moments reflect more than training. They show confidence being built, routines taking shape, and lives moving in a positive direction. Your support helps keep our programs accessible and our doors open to those who need structure, guidance, and opportunity.
